some sites - the weather network is one - allow you to download an app directly on your mobile. Once the app is downloaded you can click an icon on the display to upload a link that is specific to mobile browsing.

I don't point this out as a request but rather a potential approach.

I'm looking at the email options page, but I'm curious what about it is problematic. I suppose my perspective is different as a one time user vs a regular user, but the page was originally designed to adjust to the page size. Specific ideas about layout would be appreciated or any example sites, screen captures, etc.

I know the basics, like perhaps removing the frames (side menu) and such although some mobile devices can do this.

Also: Do the hover-over effects work correctly on the results (with map) page? I'm not looking at changing that part of it, but I am considering using that functionality on the email form to reduce the amount of info displayed. (Maybe that's the wrong approach??)

My one major request would be to be able to communicate via the Blackberry.

My minor request would be a more compact order screen for Blackberry users.

I'm now joining Russ' world of filtered internet access and could really use the added availability.

By the way, William, I'm very "use friendly" as long as you remember that it's all about me and that I HATE stalemate lines.

Good question!

I have a Nokia E71 and though most sites (including this one) renders fine, I notice that I enjoy 'mobile' sites more.
If this site had a mobile entry point that presented a layout that would fit horizontally in a smaller screen (that helps) and possibly a little less graphics (I have el-cheapo connection, something to with frequencies), then it would already be perfect.

I access the site via my iTouch. It works perfectly, so an iPhone would too. Be careful, Dave. Paul thinks it's all about him, but I know that it's all about stalemate lines

Originally, I didn't get a whole lot of feedback or a concrete list of issues with mobile access. I did build in some hooks though for a few programs that will "lighten" the page load, but they aren't really enabled at this point. I'll keep it in mind moving forward.

The more specific you can be about any issues the better / easier it is for me to adjust things.

Major work is currently on hold as my hand is still recovering from carpal tunnel surgery and my other hand is due for surgery in June....

Good news. I just ordered a smartphone. Hopefully, if things work out as they should, that means I will be able to start working on a mobile interface soon.

Yes, but this is really about modile phones and similar devices with small screens rather than game consoles.

Thanks Scullers, my intention was basically that, start with the high impact stuff and go from there. I still have numerous other items on my list, but somethings are easy to change.

Please post screen resolution sizes (and device name/types) that you typically use on your mobile devices so I can make sure to create something friendly.
